CSBC Finals Day

All of our Club Finals were completed over the weekend of 4-6 September amid some glorious sunshine. Richard Seymour secured most honours with two wins and one runner-up spot but surely the highlight of the weekend was the clash of Paul and Digger Dicks in the Over 55 Championship which reached a climax when Digger took all 4 shots from his brother to level the scores at 20-20. Paul then ran out the winner in the very next end. See here for a full summary of the results.

Corona Virus Outbreak

From 19 July all remaining restrictions will be removed. You may wish to continue wearing a face covering while moving about indoors. Hand sanitiser will be available for those who wish to continue using it. For the remainder of this season, the online system will remain for booking rinks. The existing members' guidance document includes details on how the system works.

Bowls England issue regular updates via their e-newsletter - to subscribe and receive all of the latest news straight to your inbox, simply visit the Bowls England website here and add your email address at the bottom of the home page.

Club fixtures for 2021 are available to view here. Fixture details will change over time. Due to this relatively fluid situation there will be no printed fixture card produced this year, however for those who feel they need a hard copy you can find a print-friendly fixture list here.

Committee Members

The club Executive and Bowling Committee members are largely unchanged for 2021.

The club is managed and maintained by the Executive Committee while the Bowling Committee has responsibility for organising and participating in club matches and local and national competitions. Some posts are yet to be decided so as ever keep an eye on this page for further developments.

Club Shirts

We retain a limited number of coloured shirts in the clubhouse. Please ask any committee member if your size is available. Alternatively you can order direct from our suppliers, Zapcam Limited

Keeping up to date with club activities

Members will have noticed the digital information screen in the clubhouse entrance porch. Please let Trevor or Alan know if there is anything that you think would be useful on this screen.

Also two Google calendars are now maintained that will show all our club events and matches. The best way to access these services is via a calendar app on your 3G or 4G mobile devices (Android, iPhone, Microsoft). To do this the two calendar pages on this site have a button on the bottom right hand corner of the display which copies the calendar into your personal calendar.
