Opening of the Green 2024

Sunday 21 April saw the opening of the green at Cheltenham Spa with a fun tournament organised by captains, Robin Eeles and Susan Dixon. The sun shone but a stiff breeze held the temperature down to around 14 degrees. As always the day started with a few words from Robin and Susan. Club President, John Salmon, welcomed everyone and thanked the large number of volunteers that had turned up in the weeks before opening to get both the green and the clubhouse into shape for the coming season. There then followed the traditional 'spider' which was won this year by Alison Cardozo.

Open Day at the Spa

Once again we will be holding an open day for anyone who thinks they might like to try bowls. The following flier (that has been distributed far and wide) says it all really.

The club Executive and Bowling Committee members have changed for 2024 following our two general meetings.

The club is managed and maintained by the Executive Committee while the Bowling Committee has responsibility for organising and participating in club matches and local and national competitions.

Defibrillator Donated to the Spa

Thanks to the generosity of four sponsors - The Friends of Jenner Gardens, Mr Bob Holt, Cheltenham Spa Bowling Club and The Public Hearts Campaign - a defibrillator has recently been purchased and installed on a public facing wall at the club.
