Bowls Tours in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds

Neptunes Fountain

Cheltenham Spa Bowling Club entertains several touring sides each season. The fact that we regularly have touring teams reflects the club's hospitality and central location within five minutes walk of the famous Promenade and proximity to town centre hotels. Non bowling members of touring parties can visit one of the finest regional shopping areas while their other halves play bowls and wonder how much they are spending!

If shopping is not your choice there are visits to the town's gardens, restaurants, art gallery and museum as a pleasant way to spend your time in Cheltenham, either as a day out or as a touring centre for bowling. An often overlooked garden is the one named after Dr Edward Jenner, the discoverer of the smallpox vaccine, that lies just next door to the club. The Friends of Jenner Gardens website, hosted by the club, is here.

While many touring sides arrive at the club by coach, there are a number of options for clubs who elect to travel by car. There are several council-run and private car parks close to the green - Contact the club to find out more information including an arrangement we have with a local business to use their car park at selected times. Also, it is worth noting that the on-street parking restrictions imposed near the club from Monday to Saturday are suspended on Sunday. Please check the street signs in the various locations.

You can find our club in St George's Square which is at the junction of Ambrose Street and High Street in the North West section of the printable version of the town centre map provided by the Tourist Information Centre or in Google maps here.
